Ofqual Regulated Plasma Training

Qualifi Level 4 Unit AP 408

Skin Rejuvenation using a Plasma Device

This is an Ofqual-regulated course and will meet any new licensing requirements. The theory is supported by resource handbooks and workbooks, online tutorial support is arranged to suit your own requirements. The theory is assessed by short answer questions, set by Qualifi, and assessed by us at Liberty. As qualified assessors and quality assurers, we review your work and provide feedback before submitting the finished assignment to Qualifi. This course has no external exam, all your learning and theory assessments are done from home, this way we can concentrate on working with models for the training day and putting the theory into practice.

The course content includes:

  • Skin morphology and the role of fibroblasts.
  • The inflammatory response and the role of fibroblasts.
  • How intrinsic and extrinsic factors affect skin ageing.
  • The nature of plasma, its effects on fibroblasts, and how this leads to skin remodeling.
  • Topical anaesthetics and pain management strategies.
  • Contra actions, contraindications, and adverse reactions of plasma therapy.
  • Client consultation for plasma therapy and use of visual media.
  • How plasma techniques can be adapted to clients’ skin classification and meet their objectives.
  • Sourcing, use, handling, and disposal of probes to meet legislative requirements.

Planoplas® Plasma Training

Planoplas is engineered to deliver a plasma flash that is calibrated to target the dermal layer where the residual heat stimulates fibroblast activity. The flash is so precise and effective that your client’s safety is never compromised, and your results are always achieved in one sitting. Because we cannot confirm the calibration and precision of other devices,  we will only train practitioners using Planoplas. Client safety is paramount.

Our Plasma training focuses on the different modalities to achieve skin tightening, such as upper and lower blepharoplasty, Crow’s Feet, and perioral lines. We also include removals such as moles, skin tags, solar lentigines,  keratoses, thread veins, and scar revision. Our 2-setting PlanoplasPro device has the versatility to treat a wide variety of skin issues associated with redundant skin, such as heavy eyelids, but it cannot tighten facial lines caused by muscle contraction or descending tissue. Consequently, it is not feasible to treat forehead, glabellar, and Marionette lines with Plasma, there are much more effective modalities to relax muscle and replace lost volume.

Our aim at Liberty is very simple, it is to provide:

  • 1:1 intuitive training by qualified educators, assessors, and quality assurers.
  • Ofqual regulated qualifications, ahead of any new licensing requirements.
  • A German-engineered device with a track record of quality, precision, safety, and a free 5-year warranty.
This client presented with heavy, sagging upper eyelids and 'festooning' to the lower eyelid. The client was treated with Planoplas skin tightening techniques as part of our training with Kim Price at BEaesthetics in Taunton. These dramatic results are just 10 days post-procedure and will progressively tighten over the full 12 week remodeling process.
These results were achieved in one sitting and will last for 2 to 3 years, but can be permanent. If you are thinking of introducing Plasma Skin Tightening to your clinic's portfolio, then contact Andrea or Chris Heath at Liberty Aesthetics Academy, the sole UK distributor and Level 4 trainers for Planoplas.
